Partnership Carson City is offering the Responsible Beverage Server Training throughout the year.

Partnership Carson City, the Carson City Sheriff’s Office and its School Resource Officers are working together this year to offer Responsible Beverage Server Training courses. Per the Nevada Revised Statuses 4.13.170, anyone who sells or serves alcohol is legally required to complete the training. The Responsible Beverage Server Training is also open to anyone who would like to learn about enforcing underage drinking laws in Carson City.
The training is on Monday, March 8 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Partnership Carson City is offering the Responsible Beverage Server Training throughout the year. The course is $20 and can be purchased here. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certification to sell and serve alcohol, tobacco and marijuana products.
Partnership Carson City’s Youth Program Coordinator Samantha Szoyka and Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer Dean Williams are hosting the upcoming server training.
“We not only aim to provide the necessary skills to responsibly serve alcohol, tobacco and marijuana, but our mission is also to also ensure that participnts learn the consequences related to underage drinking and consumption of harmful substances,” said Szoyka.
The webinar includes alcohol awareness and reviews the Carson City laws for selling or serving liquor, marijuana and tobacco as well as how to spot a fake ID and how to be aware of the levels of impairment.
