A cornucopia of cannabis was seized in a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office
An early morning traffic stop led to the seizure of 8 pounds of marijuana, 22 ounces of honey oil, and around $2,000 cash.
Deputies contacted three Reno teenagers after they were pulled over for speeding around 2 a.m. and smelled the strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle.
Upon finding the contraband and a Glock-19 handgun, deputies took Joseph Coleman, 19, Erin Sadzak, 19 and a 17-year-old male into custody.
They were booked on charges ranging from trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sales, conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, child endangerment, and other traffic violation charges.
It is legal in Nevada to possess up to one ounce of marijuana for personal use.
