SAN DIEGO — Cannabiniers has expanded its Two Roots brand of nonalcohol, cannabis-infused craft beer.
Its latest seasonal flavor, Shadow Monk, is available for purchase in individual cans or four-packs in dispensaries in Nevada and California.
The beer is brewed with specialty malts, dark candi sugars and yeast to give it a smooth, medium body, according to the company. The beer has a gentle sweetness and flavors of dark caramel, date, pear, bubble gum and citrus.
“We couldn’t be more proud to release the first ever Belgian Abbey-style nonalcoholic beer made outside of Belgium,” said Kevin Barnes, vice president of brewing operations for Two Roots sister company Two Roots Brewing Co. “Gearing up for the dark days of winter, a rich, brown near beer steeped in tradition and sweet, pungent fruits like dates and banana would be perfect craft beer to enjoy during for the fall and winter months.”
Two Roots’ nonalcohol, cannabis-infused craft beers replicate a traditional alcohol experience by delivering a consistent dose of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, through patent-pending technology, the company said. The Fast Onset technology speeds up the cannabis onset effect for a controlled experience.
This is Two Roots’ third seasonal flavor. Others are Mango Dango and Grapefruit Fight.
