Nevada County Police Blotter: Caller smells either marijuana or green twigs – The Union of Grass Valley

Wednesday

7:58 a.m. — A caller from the 700 block of Freeman Lane reported a transient harassing people behind a store.

8:17 a.m. — A caller near the corner of Dorsey Drive and Sutton Way reported finding a vacuum sealed bag of marijuana.

8:33 a.m. — A caller from the 800 block of Sutton Way reported a man with a reader on the dash of his vehicle. The caller thought he was reading people’s ATM card numbers. The caller approached him and he treated the caller like he was crazy. The vehicle was unoccupied when officers arrived.

9:31 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Tinloy was an elderly lady or juvenile yelling and making weird sounds into the phone.

11:51 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Pleasant Street reported a neighbor harassing the caller and claiming the caller was bothering her children and trying to give them drugs.

11:56 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Depot Street reported a vehicle on blocks for weeks with a note on it for weeks saying it will be moved “tomorrow.”

3:57 p.m. — A caller from the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported a woman throwing around shopping carts in a parking lot. Officers were unable to locate the woman.

6:31 p.m. — A caller from the 400 block of Central Avenue reported the smell of marijuana coming from the playground area. The caller said it also happened a few days ago. While on the line, the caller said it could have been a fireplace with green twigs.
