    A new national poll found that legalizing marijuana gets more support from U.S. adults than President Joe Biden’s job performance, the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump impeachment, a $15 minimum wage, rejoining the Paris climate agreement or a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

    A South Dakota judge overturned the state’s voter-approved marijuana legalization ballot measure. Cannabis reform advocates say they will appeal to the state Supreme Court.

    New Senate Banking Committee Chairman Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said he is “willing to look at moving” a marijuana banking bill but that it must be coupled with drug sentencing reform. Brown has never cosponsored cannabis legislation and has made a number of dismissive remarks about the issue.

    Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Brian Schatz (D-HI), along with a bipartisan group of cosponsors, refiled a bill to expand marijuana research. The new version is identical to what the Senate unanimously adopted in December, though it differs from a House measure that would let scientists study
