Former Nevada Assembly speaker arrested for DUI, Carson City Sheriff says – Nevada Appeal

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are presumed innocent unless convicted in court.
• At 7:41 p.m., Jonathan Duvall, 42, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit vehicle theft after deputies were called to the area of Park and Carson streets. The arrest report says he approached a couple who were loading their bicycles into a truck and asked for their keys saying he was going to steal their stuff. The woman said she thought he had a knife in his hand but that he kept his hand behind him. After she called 911, Duvall fled the scene when he heard sirens. When he was apprehended, the arrest report says he admitted trying to rob the couple. His bail was set at $40,000.
• At 8:12 p.m., Jeffrey Edwards. 35, was arrested after a traffic stop at Carson and Clearview for riding an unregistered and licensed quad on the roadway. The arrest report says he initially attempted to accelerate and drive away. He stopped at the Terrible’s gas station parking lot. He is accused of refusing the deputy’s commands. After they forced him to the ground, a search found what was described as a .44-caliber revolver in his pocket. The report says he continued to refuse to cooperate, yelling that the deputies were going to die. He was charged with felony carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, intimidating a peace officer for making threats, failure to yield and resisting arrest as operating an off-road vehicle on a public highway. Bail was set at $14.600.
